With a career in show business spanning over 25 years, Lisa Lawton has established herself as an accomplished vocalist and performer earning a reputation as a truly outstanding artiste. With a musical heritage steeped in Jazz and big band, Lisa continues the legacy of her late grandfather, Johnny Lawton, renowned British Jazz musician with the Syd Lawrence and BBC’s Northern Dance Orchestras. From the tender age of twelve Lisa performed regularly with her grandfather’s Swing band ‘Swingin’ Affair’, and is currently lead vocalist with the Suburban Swing Orchestra. She studied at The Grange Performing Arts Centre and has since developed her background in Jazz, Musical Theatre and Classical Soprano to create a diverse repertoire of a fully rounded entertainer who commands the stage and enthrals the audience with a performance not easily forgotten.

Career Highlights

Lisa has performed in many prestigious tours and theatres in the UK, including the famous Palace Theatre in Manchester. She was delighted to have been asked to play leading lady Fantine in the 2016 Celebration Concert of Les Miserable, where she wowed audiences and received critical acclaim. She has also appeared on television shows in the UK.

Along with engaging audiences with her professional shows aboard the world’s largest luxury cruise-liners, Lisa is also returning to her roots as a classically trained soprano. As she continues to perform on the ships, Lisa also sings throughout the UK in a classical duo ‘The Northern Sopranos’ and has recently collaborated with award winning concert pianist Madalena Russo.
