Their love and respect for each other and the violin work seamlessly together throughout their performances of music from many genres including… an absolutely stunning rendition of the beautiful traditional Hungarian folk dance “Chardazh”, composed by V. Monti, through to a moving “If I Were a Rich Man” from “Fiddler on the Roof”; an uplifting version of Vivaldi’s “Storm” from “The Four Seasons” and Z. Abreu’s “Tico-Tico” which has the audience on their feet cheering and clapping!
Career Highlights
Eduard and Mariana were born in the charming city of Chernivtsi in the western part of Ukraine. They started playing the violin from a very early age; Eduard at 4 years old and Mariana at the of 6! It soon became clear that they were naturally gifted and they both went on to win many prestigious competitions. They studied at the world renowned Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv, famous for its outstanding teachers. Among many of these virtuosos, Eduard studied with the late great maestro Bogodar Kotorovich and Mariana under the direction of the great Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki.
Eduard has participated as an elite soloist with symphony and chamber orchestras worldwide and is an outstanding musician and gifted performer. Mariana has performed in many contemporary music festivals in Ukraine and around the world and is rightfully considered to be one of the best performers of contemporary academic music. Both she and Eduard have worked successfully as a part of The National Ensemble of soloists “Kyiv Camerata” under the direction of famous Ukrainian conductor and pianist Valerii Matiukhin.
