Jamila is an established songstress, whose passion and commitment to her craft take listeners on a musical journey. Jamila’s musical talent has taken her literally around the world, where thousands have been thrilled by her versatile vocal styles, ranging from R&B soul and improvisational jazz to Broadway and classical opera.

A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jamila began singing at age 14 and received a bachelor of music degree in vocal performances from Western Michigan University. In 2005, she became one of the featured singers with the legendary vocal group, The 5th Dimension. Jamila starred as the lead character Aida in Elton John and Tim Rice’s production of the Broadway musical Aida in Los Angles. Her dazzling performances have won rave reviews at every port-of-call, from Sydney to Singapore.
