JC SHOWCASES HIS SKILLS PLAYING DIFFERENT STYLES OF MUSIC INCLUDING BLUES, ROCK, SOUL, JAZZ AND SALSA. HE MIXES THE BEST RHYTHMS OF AFRO AMERICANS AND AFRO LATINOS WITH A UNIQUE STYLE OF PLAYING.

JC was born in Cancun Mexico.  When he was 6 years old his parents bought him an acoustic guitar, and at the age of 8 he started studying the guitar.  He attended the art music school in Mexico when he was 12 years old with mostly Cuban teachers, and from them he got his special style of playing.

When he was 13, he was already working with one of the best trumpets players in Cuba, ALEXEY BARROSO, and studying alongside him.  He used to be called “EL NIÑO” in English “the kid”, because he was only 13 when he was playing with adult musicians.

JC received his bachelor’s degree as an arranger and jazz guitarist. With his playing, singing and dancing skills, JC  will entertain you with a lot of funny stories about his life being a Mexican musician.

He also plays a wide variety of music from Latin America including Brazilian, Argentinian, flamenco, gypsy and wailing electric rock and blues.

His three main shows, “My Guitar Heroes” and “We Love Carlos Santana” and “Rhythms of the World “will give you an extensive repertoire with a lot of shredding, authentic multicultural styles, and an engaging sense of humor.

Career Highlights

JC has played with and written several arrangements for Darryl J. William, a Grammy award winner.

He is an arranger for many different entertainers.

He was musical director of some of the best jazz, salsa and funk orchestras in Mexico, Cuba and on cruise ships.

He has performed his shows in some of the best theaters of Mexico Cuba Argentina Colombia and Canada.

He does his own arrangements adding powerful horn section to every song.
