CELLO VIRTUOSO WITH AN INFUSION OF HUMOUR

Filip Rzytka is a Polish cellist, arranger, and composer. He began his musical education at the age of six with piano lessons. It really was a bit of a disaster, so a year later, he embarked on his adventure with the cello. His education unfolded almost by the book – winning awards at music competitions, attending cello masterclasses, and so on. Filip performed as an instrumentalist in chamber ensembles and orchestras, all while searching for something more fulfilling in music.

He finally found it in 2014 when he was appointed as the “Flying Cellist” in a show called “Starwater”. After performing it exactly 701 times, he’d had enough, so he formed a cello duo, “Celli” with his lifelong friend Dariusz.  The duo then travelled the world, played on all seven continents while working with all the major cruise lines.

During the post-pandemic chaos, Filip began working on his solo act, which reflects his personality. Though he appears serious, cold, and uptight, he effortlessly and unexpectedly mixes in jokes, leaving the audience not only admiring his musicality but also laughing out loud at his quite unique sense of humour.

Both of his shows are known for their extraordinary selection of music, excellent arrangements, and a perfectly balanced dose of humour. His performances offer a seamless fusion of genres, keeping audiences delighted with both musical brilliance and lighthearted storytelling, making each show a unique and enjoyable experience.
